What a great read! Love reading books from the male perspective and Chris Guiton does a great job. What a unique book idea. It really got me thinking how people could essentially live like this. This book is funny and sweet and will make you laugh. Just an all around feel good book. Hope to see more from this author in the future!Product details

I loved Chris Guiton's first novel. The story was new and exciting and downright fun. Loved the idea of someone choosing a different life path and how it changes everything else. Hope he writes more novels or, even better, gives us a further look at where this story goes. Captivating!
Love the story. Chris did a great job. I really enjoyed reading a book written by someone I know.
A Shot at Happy was a joy to read & dare I even say, it was an inspiration.

What an interesting concept for this author's first book! It's a very enjoyable summertime read! How he came up with this idea I may never know, but the storyline is unique. It's not your typical love story. I am looking forward to the prequel he mentions in his bio... I want to know WHY Drew chose to walk away from his professional success and money for this type of life... and then I would love to see a follow up story on what happens after he and Natalie reconcile. Does Drew go back to work? So I see two more books coming out of this! Best of luck Chris Guiton!!
A Shot At Happy is a wonderfully enjoyable read! In this first novel, Chris Guiton brings us a moving story about the curious habits of Drew Kelly and his journey to discover what really matters most. Against the backdrop of a basketball court, a fantastic Philadelphia vibe, and some romance, this story will really make you think about your own pursuit of happiness. I can't wait to read more from this author.

Wow, such a great read! This novel is truly a breath of fresh air for anyone who finds themselves in a monotonous world of money and material possessions. Chris Guiton takes us inside the simple life and significant growth of lovable main character, Drew Kelley, through his quirky and quick-witted interactions. His story left me with the powerful and resounding message of how important it is to focus on personal happiness and the little things in life. I would recommend this book to anyone (especially those with a sense of humor, a heart, or a soft spot for a good jump shot!)
A Shot at Happy is a fun uplifting novel. It would be a great book to read on the beach/vacation. The story is creative, the characters are stimulating and the story takes place in Philadelphia! I quickly found myself invested in the main character, which made this page turner even harder to put down. Guiton's approach to the topics of love, life and finding your true self (while mixing in plenty of basketball) made a genre I typically do not read, extremely enjoyable. I'm happy I took a shot at this book.
